Apoorva Gundeti is an actor, writer, and producer. Through her work, Apoorva strives to share stories that re-envision South Asian representation, female friendship, and the immigrant experience. 

After appearing in the Oxford Playhouse production of Dick Whittington at the ripe age of 8, Apoorva fell in love with the performing arts. For better or for worse, she has not been able to shake the bug since. 

Apoorva graduated from The University of Chicago with a dual degree in Cinema & Media Studies and Global Studies. During college, Apoorva began improvising, writing, producing, and acting in shows at the Second City and iO. Apoorva is a graduate of the 2020 Black Box ACADEMY and the Second City Conservatory Program.

Apoorva is co-writer and producer of the award-winning web series “Stuck in Reality”, which recently premiered in The Chinese Theater in LA as part of the Hollyshorts Screening Series. “Stuck in Reality” also premiered at the Portland Comedy Film Festival, Chicago South Asian Film Festival, and won “Best Web Series” at Dallas Film Awards. She is also writer of TV pilot script “Me Vs. You,” which was recognized by LaunchPad Pilot Competition, Finish Line Script Competition, a Semi-Finalist at Austin Film Festival, and Runner-up in the Junior Hollywood Television and Radio Society Script Competition.

Apoorva is currently assisting Actor and Executive Producer Desiree Staples on the upcoming feature film, “My Divorce Party” written & directed by Heidi Weitzer.
